Field Operations

The mission of the Division of Field Operations is to promote self-sufficiency and personal responsibility for all Mississippians.

The Division of Field Operations (DFO) is responsible for programs which ensure nutrition and other basic needs are met for low and medium-income individuals and families in Mississippi. DFO assists with child care costs for low income parents who are working or in job training.  

The Division of Field Operations has offices in each county of the State under the guidance of a county director.  The 82 county offices are divided among 8 regions with a regional director who has oversight responsibility for the counties within the region. At the State Office, staff provides support for policy, procedures, training and technical assistance needed for program administration.
